WHAT IS HUMAN MADE OF?
🔬 At the
smallest level, humans are made of:
- Atoms — mainly:
- Oxygen (O)
- Carbon (C)
- Hydrogen (H)
- Nitrogen (N)
- Plus smaller amounts of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur,
sodium, chlorine, magnesium, iron, etc.
Fun fact: You’re about 60% water, and
water is just hydrogen and oxygen!
🧬 Then,
atoms combine into molecules:
- Water (H₂O)
- Proteins (made of amino acids)
- Carbohydrates
(sugars and starches)
- Lipids (fats)
- DNA and RNA (your
genetic material)
🧫 Molecules
build cells, the basic unit of life:
- You have around 30–40 trillion cells — each one like a tiny
city with a power plant (mitochondria), control center (nucleus), and
more.
- Different types of cells do different jobs: muscle cells move you,
nerve cells send signals, blood cells carry oxygen.
🧍♂️ Then cells make up:
- Tissues → like muscle, nerve, fat, bone
- Organs → heart, brain, liver, lungs
- Systems → circulatory, nervous, digestive,
immune, etc.
🧠🫀 In simple terms:
A human is made of water, organic
molecules, cells, and a whole lot of chemistry, all working together in a
complex, beautiful system.
